Description



We are a friendly, welcoming pre-school that offers young children all the opportunities they need to play, learn and grow in a caring environment. Excellent staff, close links with parents, and a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities encourage children to develop new skills and relationships at their own pace. We believe that children learn best through play and we always aim to nurture and value each child as an individual.

We were the first Flitwick pre-school to be accredited by the Pre-school Learning Alliance and are proud to have been re-accredited, 2005. The Pre-School Learning Alliance only recognises standards that exceed the requirements of Ofsted.

Pre-School Learning Alliance (2005), on re-accrediting us, noted that:

‘The friendly atmosphere between staff, children and parents is over-riding and with good resources, thorough planning and excellent staff/child interaction, this setting offers quality care and education.’



Ofsted (2004) states that:

‘Windmill Pre-school maintains an excellent partnership with parents. Staff and parents work closely together in providing a consistent and caring environment where children are happy and confident’.
