The Rufus Centre, named after David Rufus de Flitwick, a Feudal Lord, is located in the beautiful Central Bedfordshire countryside and is owned by Flitwick Town Council.  We have operated as a successful conference, meeting and function venue for over ten years.

So whether you are looking to host a conference, training session, hold interview’s or celebrate your wedding reception, party or a Charity ball the Rufus Centre has the facilities to meet all your needs.

We pride ourselves on offering you excellent service and have achieved accreditation from the Meetings Industry Association (MIA). As a result many of our clients come back regularly.

Our specialist team with a wealth of experience is here to support you, consisting of staff who have been with us over 10 years, to those who have recently joined and bring fresh ideas. 
The Rufus Centre is home to several small businesses and charities, many of which have been with us for several years. The Town Council are keen to support local businesses and organisations and offer office space at very competitive rates.

The Town Council is committed to minimising our impact on the environment and to promote and use local sustainable commerce as well as supporting the local community.

Conference Support

You can expect a high level of service as standard when you hold a conference, meeting or event at The Rufus Centre.

A dedicated conference organiser will work with you every step of the way as you plan your event. Our conference porters will ensure your room and equipment is set up as requested before your event begins and dedicated staff will be on hand to meet your delegates as they arrive.

Prior to the event and throughout the session administration support, such as photocopying, faxing and laminating is provided, as required, by the centre's staff.
